All Things New

“This will be the sign for you, O Hezekiah:

“This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that.

But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above.

For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors.

The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.” ~2 Kings 19:29-31

Oh what happiness it is to know that my Father in Heaven provides! He delivers folk. He destroyed King Hezekiah’s enemies.  He is so faithful and loving and majestic. I can’t stop delighting knowing that my God in Heaven is so powerful and loving. I pray that everyone will be as stoked and jubilant as me as you read 1 and 2 King like me. I truly love the Old Testament. My eyes are opened to a newer level of understanding and I am that much closer to knowing the heart of my Father.

~Just me. Hi everyone. This is what the author of the site looks like. 🙂

Spring is a sign of new life

Spring is everything hopeful

Spring is God’s way of reminding us of His glorious majesty

Spring is needed for the human soul

Spring is beautiful, a sign of new beginnings

I love spring. I love that I get a second chance. I love that my life revolves my around my Jesus Christ. I love being in love with Him. ^_^

Purity – food for thought

-photo is not mine.

Not that we won’t make mistakes, or that it will be easy, or that we’ll be able to successfully insulate ourselves from our society’s ubiquitous sexual suggestions and opportunities. But here’s the kicker: we don’t value sexual purity because we need to jump through hoops to please God. We value sexual purity because we love God. He first loved us, and has rights over our bodies by virtue of His salvific work in our lives. But when we love somebody, we want to please them, and honor them. It’s not a law, or a rule; otherwise, the recipient of our affection wouldn’t know whether our love was genuine. With sexual purity, we not only please God by acknowledging that His ways are best, but we also get to benefit from the rewards inherent in them.

We evangelical singles may be on the front lines in our culture’s war on sex. But God has already won the war for us, through Christ.

Whose bride, as a matter of fact, we believers are.

How’s that for incentive?

The Mind of Christ

 ~picture is not mine.
by Max Lucado
The heart of Jesus was spiritual. Our hearts seem so far from His.  He is pure.  We are greedy. He is peaceful; we are hassled. He is purposeful; we are distracted. How could we ever hope to have the heart of Jesus?
Ready for a surprise? You already do.  You already have the heart of Christ. Would I kid you?  One of the supreme promises of God is simply this:  if you’ve given your life to Jesus, Jesus has given Himself to you.
The Apostle Paul explains it in 1 Corinthians 2:16: “Strange as it seems, we Christians actually do have within us a portion of the very thoughts and mind of Christ.”
The same one who saved your soul longs to remake your heart. His plan is nothing short of a total transformation. Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus. Perhaps in seeing Him, we will see what we can become!
~Happy Friday Everyone! May you always continue to thirst for God’s truth and bloom like that pink rose I posted.  🙂
