I want to make you happy

I want to make you feel alive

Let me make you happy

You’re in my heart all the time

I can hardly see straight when I see you

I’m so happy that I can barely contain myself

Yes, I want to make you happy

God is enough

Let’s face it–anxiety or worry have no advantages!  They ruin our health, rob us of joy, and change nothing!  Our day stands no chance against the terrorists of the Land of Anxiety.

But Christ offers a worry-bazooka.  Remember how He taught us to pray?  “Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11”  This simple sentence unveils God’s provision plan:  live one day at a time.

Worry gives small problems big shadows.  Corrie ten Boom said, “Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows; it empties today of its strength.”   And Romans 8:28 affirms: “Every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.”

Most anxiety stems, not from what we need, but from what we want.  Philippians 4:4 says, “delight yourselves in the Lord, yes, find your joy in Him at all times!”

If God is enough, you’ll always have enough!

Today’s message was refreshing. I’m reminded again that anxiety does bad to my body and spirit. I’m choosing to have a happy day today. Happy Friday everyone! May this message encourage you today as it did me. And no, the picture isn’t mine. 🙂

Love,

Me

I’m learning to embrace my situation

Letting go of the things that are out of my control

Seeking protection is not unheard of

It’s to keep me from insanity

I’m living with the truth because it’s free

And then I’ll start to look ahead, and not behind me

I’ve stopped caring about what others may think

Because what others think, can only hurt me

I’ve finally opened my eyes to the truth

What others say, isn’t valid in my life anymore

I realize now that life hurts when you’re not prepared

But this time around, I am geared up for battle

I’m ready because Jesus Christ saved me

I am protected & secured according to Romans 8:31-39

Yes, I’m resting in the arms of my Heavenly Father today

I was batteling for so long, but now I’m rested and ready

Walking in the Spirit

Are you walking in the Spirit? I pray that you are…

What does it mean to walk in the Spirit? It means to walk spiritually with purpose, balance, observation and action, keeping your eyes on Jesus and winning the tug of war to be led by the Holy Spirit rather than allowing your soul to rule over your choices and decisions. Walking in the spirit is the process of your soul learning to relinquish control and letting God take charge of your life. Always remember, you are His work in process!

To move with purpose, a conduct that pleases the Lord

To move with observation, watching for distractions, obstacles, assaults

To move with balance, going forward with discernment, determination

To move with action, reading God’s Word, being vigilantly, watchful, fixing our eyes on Jesus

Is This The “One”?

Everyone one of us desires for that special someone to love us and be loved by us. Here are some questions for you to ask yourself whether the person you are seeing is the “one.” :

1. Am I loved?

2. Am I respected?

3. Am I free to be me and do I feel free in this relationship?

4. Do we honor God?

5. Do we have common life goals? Are we both going in the right direction or are we going the opposite direction?

6. Can we problem solve? Are we able to solve conflicts together and not be at each other’s throat and look over the least

little things?

7. Are we friends? Are we able to be friends?

8. Do I care? Do we genuinely care for each other?

In summation, you can make a good decision based upon some of these questions that I’ve listed. If this person is the one, then you’d want to be able to accept the person’s wound. You want to be a part of his or her healing process because you care for that individual.

” Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” ~Proverbs 3: 5-6

Summertime Wonders

               ~picture is not mine.

With nothing between me and this big world

I’m a little bit scared

But oh, does it feels great to be free!

I’m able to run all over, skip, dance, jump and prance!

I gave myself a jump in the air, twirled and ran a few steps

Stopping, I looked around and sniffed the smells of the afternoon

Oh, I’m free to play anywhere I want

I can feel the laughter bubbling up in my throat

It’s coming out, the sound of my laughter, so loud that it’s almost a snort

Oh, I’m rolling down the soft tall grasses on the hill and I’m feeling quite dizzy

But I won’t stop. Evidence of green grass particles stuck in my hair; my clothes stained green.

I’m free. I’m happy. I’m excited about everything in life.

Summertime laughter, yes, that’s what it is

My laughter.

Who is a God like you?

                  ~picture is not mine. 🙂

Who is a God Like You,

pardoning iniquity and passing over…

transgression?…He does not retain

His anger forever, because He delights

in showing clemency. He will again

have compassion upon us; He will

tread our iniquities under foot. You

will cast all our sins into the depths

of the sea. You will show faithfulness

to Jacob and unswerving loyalty to

Abraham, as You have sworn to our

ancestors from the days of old.

~Micah 7:18-20
